Selamat Designs was founded in 1988 by San Francisco designer, Vera Brown and manufacturing consultant Jim Tenbrink. Over the years, customers began demanding larger and larger pieces. As a result, Selamat Designs was able to expand into the production of occasional furniture, such as tables, dining sets, chairs and deep-seating, and began integrating the use of new exotic materials, such as rattan, bamboo, leather, marble, onyx and a selection of other tropical hardwoods into their product line. {BRAND>BRAND_NAME} will continue to offer an array of traditional British West Indies designs while complementing their product mix with groups of more contemporary furnishings. The new lines will make use of the same, traditional materials and quality finishing for which Selamat Designs is known.
