I fell in love with this bookcase/display cabinet for several reasons, i love the espresso finish and jigsaw puzzle-like shelves. I originally found it on [...] and then found an even better price on mercantila.com. Although the bookcase is made of laminate and particle board, it looks and functions just like real wood. It was easy to assemble, took less than 30 minutes for my boyfriend and I. It's the perfect addition to our new apartment's living room, and for a person with tons of collectibles and knick knacks, it's the perfect piece to display them!

I love the look of this bookcase, but when shopping for bookcases, I kept skipping those that said "particle board". This one said "wood", so I was really disappointed that it was particle board. Of course, the price should have told me that. Once over the disappointment, I do really like it, and other than a few problems with turning the cams and lining up the middle piece in the back, it was easy to assemble. I did it alone although I have never done something like this alone before.

I bought two shelves for my daughter and her husband and they are beautiful and look much more expensive than they are.
Slightly difficult to put together - took my son in law about an hour for each shelf.
